Beacon House is an iconic Victorian detached building, set in an elevated position withinthe beautiful and historic fishing village of Brixham. It was built in the 1850’s and had, for a very long time, been left to deteriorate. Our Clients’ had a vision to take this former dairy, (complete with cow shed!) and restore some of its original features whilst also creating a contemporary and comfortable luxury boutique B&B.
After much consultation and careful negotiation with the Conservation Officer, we secured Planning Permission and made our Clients’ dream a reality. It was hard work at times, but we ensured success by using a phased approach. Sometimes this is the only way to overcome planning difficulties.
Beacon House is now a fully thriving business with exceptional ratings from customers on both Bookings.com and Trip Advisor amongst others. We are extremely proud to have been involved in this project and wish Nigel and Amanda every continued success.
