Our clients asked us to develop designs for this 1930s detached house with view over Lyme Bay. We drew inspiration from the Art Deco period to create a nautical inspired two-storey extension and new outbuildings.

The design includes wonderful glazing features including curved double-glazed windows in metal frames, a structural glass rooflight and bi-fold windows to maximise connection to the elements. The beautiful spiral staircase in housed within a circular tower that resembles a lighthouse with sea views from the top.

The completed project is true to our original designs and a stunning example of what can be achieved with some imagination from all involved.
