Our Client asked us to redevelop this rather tired site to realise a more efficient use of the site. We originally gained Planning Permission in 2008 for two marine residences. The designs has now been reworked from the ground up, minimising site excavation whilst maximising the added value.

We have produced two stylish, modern houses, full of natural light and great spaces. Each house is a variation on a theme; both have 3 floor levels, 4-bedrooms, a lift connecting each level. The master suites occupy the entire top floor in a penthouse arrangement with private sea facing terrace space. The intermediate level accommodates a further 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities and private roof terraces.

Each ground floor level is given over to large open-plan, split-level, kitchen/dining/living space. These spaces have uninterrupted fantastic south facing sea views towards Thatcher Rock and open onto entertaining space leading to the fully landscaped gardens. Interlinked spaces and an abundance of light compliment these houses, designed for modern living in the 21st Century.

The materials palette is simple and has been sourced from local character materials found in the surrounding area, along with complimentary modern, low-maintenance materials suitable for the harsh marine environment.
