Grove House is a rather splendid villa full of turn of the century character. Our brief was to add new space to create a modern open plan kitchen/dining/snug. It was important that the designs complimented the original villa and echoed the existing aesthetic.

Design cues were drawn from the main villa for the overall external form. Modern bifold doors with a lovely corner glazed element were included, finished in black, they are suitably understated. The use of stone internally as well as externally serves to connect the two spaces together.

A huge contemporary flat roof light sits over the extension. This adds a dramatic wow-factor as well as letting natural light flood into the spaces beyond.

The project is complimented by landscaping and beautiful planting courtesy of our Clients.

The project was shortlisted in the LABC Awards, adding further kudos to the design.
