A life-enhancing project for a young man. We were engaged by relatives of a young man with complex medical needs to provide safe, level spaces for him for therapeutic purposes.
We created a large open-plan kitchen/dining space that connects to a raised terrace via wide bi-fold doors with level threshold detail. We also formed a covered spa area, with a hoist for safe transfer from wheelchair to the spa. Garden levels were adjusted to remove the need for ramps or steps.
The well-detailed brickwork is a very close match the main house and flat rooflights help natural light flood into all spaces. The kitchen was styled by our client and is very chic. There’s even a built-in dog bed!
